Andrei Gridchuk studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Fyodor Druzhinin and Yuri Bashmet, whom he later assisted, and was a member of the Moscow Soloists. He has appeared as soloist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Staatskapelle Weimar and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, under conductors including Riccardo Chailly, Kent Nagano and Christian Thielemann.
